The payment process is secured with 128-bit encryption SSL technology when transferring and receiving consumer data. We make every effort to keep up to industry standards in hosting, data storage, firewall and communication security. That said, Windward Boardshop and any parters, affiliates, vendors and individual personnel are not liable for any data loss, breach of personal information, financial information or any other un-intended intercept of personal information while browsing our site. Never provide secure personal/financial information unless you see a verified ssl certificate on the checkout payment page. See the help manual of your browser to ensure your SSL connection is encrypted and secure before providing this information.

We treat your personal information and online security very seriously and take all necessary measures to prevent fraudulent transactions. All orders are subject to our security review to ensure the safety for all of our customers. In some cases your order must be verified through our security check process before your order is processed and shipped out. This may include but is not limited to confirmation via phone or e-mail of the personal information entered including name, billing address, shipping address, credit card number, credit card expiration and credit card cvc code. In some cases a photo ID and/or other documentation may be required to prove the identity of the individual matches both the billing address AND shipping address. Note that overnight, 2 day air and 3 day air are subject to this security check and may cause a delay in your delivery date if we can not contact you to complete the security check over the phone and/or e-mail within 24-48 hours. In this case you will receive a phone call and/or e-mail within 4 hours of the express shipment deadline (2pm CT Monday – Friday) to complete our security check. YOU MUST COMPLETE THIS CHECK BEFORE WE SHIP YOUR ORDER OUT OR YOUR DELIVERY TIME WILL BE DELAYED. We will do our best to accommodate rush orders as soon as possible but we can not guarantee delivery until this security check is complete.

By placing an order through our website you agree to allow us to send e-mail order confirmations and opt-in to our e-mail distribution list that you can opt-out at anytime. This list allows us to send information regarding your order and/or other related promotions.

We accept the following major credit cards; American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover as payment. All forms of payment are subject to approval before shipping, and as a result may cause a slight delay. PayPal and Amazon Payments are also accepted online. To use this method, choose the PayPal or Amazon Payments payment method at checkout.

Out of state (Illinois) orders are not subject to sales tax. All in state (Illinois) orders will be charged the current Chicago rate sales tax. See total at checkout after adding in Illinois address or contact us for details on the exact rate.

postage

It is rare that any of our goods are lost in the post and all orders are sent by recorded delivery systems. We keep recorded delivery receipts for all items posted as proof of postage. If however you have not received your order within 10 days please email us contact us and let us know the details of your order. gear up giveaway entry rules

The Gear Up Giveaway or GUG contest is open to the public and allows entry from one e-mail address per day to enter. Prizes are determined by Windward Boardshop and have no cash value. Windward Boardshop reserves the right to cancel the promotion at anytime and dis-qualify any entry that does not fit within our defined rules here. Winners are drawn at random using a random number generator. Odds of winning are determined by the number of entries during the entry period that could range between 1 and 3 months. More enteries gives you a better chance at your entry number being the winning combination. To win, users must be an active member on our e-mail distribution list at the time of winning and must respond back to us within 48 hours of the winning notification. If we do not hear back, Windward Boardshop reserves the right to distribute the prize to another winner through any method best determined.

By entering you agree to give Windward Boardshop permission to notify you of news, promotions, products, events and other marketing information via the e-mail address you provide. Your information provided is captured over an encrypted connection and stored in a secure database. It will not be distributed or sold in any way and will solely be used by Windward Boardshop. year of gear

The year of gear is celebrating 30 years of windward in the snow, skate, surf-sup and swim scene. The rules are simple. Each month starting Feb 2012 through Jan 2013, you can enter to win one of our free gear giveaways. The entry period will last from the first of the month to the last day of the month at 12pm CT. All entries for the current month must be in before 12pm to be valid for entry. Any entries after 12pm CT on the last day of the month will only be eligible to win for the next month prize. Each person can enter the contest up to 1 time per day. The option to refer friends is also available where you can enter up to 5 friend’s e-mail addresses. Each friend that successfully enters the contest will give you +2 entries for the current month AND +2 entries for the grand prize. A maximum of 11 per person per day is possible when all 5 referred friends sign up. The grand prize will be drawn on Jan 31st, 2013. Each entry up to that point enters you in with more chances to win the grand prize. Prizes for the upcoming months will be announced at least 1 month prior to the start of that prize contest.

All winners will be notified by e-mail on the last day of the month before 5pm CT. If you are a winner you must confirm back to us that you would like the prize within 48hrs of the e-mail that we send you to confirm you have won. payday piggy day rules

Only facebook fans are eligible for the payday piggy day portion of the year of gear. Each 1st and 15th of the month Windward will award one of our facebook fans at random with a $100 windward shopping spree. The $100 credit is good for one year from the day of issue and only redeemable at Windward Boardshop in-store or online. Online orders using the credit must call in their order to redeem the $100 credit. The $100 shopping spree is not redeemable for cash and is not refundable in any way. Winners will be notified via the Windward Boardshop Facebook wall at 12pm CT on the day of the contest. Holiday Food Drive

The winter 2013 Burton 10% off complete snowboard set up is good only on Burton Winter 2013 hardgoods including Snowboards, Bindings and Snowboard Boots. To redeem the offer your total purchase must include the following at full retail price before discount: Burton Snowboard, Burton Snowboard Bindings and Burton Snowboard Boots.
